Recent Activities of the St. Louis chapter

Moon Madness Night 2010 - The rescheduled event (thanks to St. Louis weather) was held Friday evening, January 29th, at the Center for Creative Learning.  Bob Perry and Rufus Anderson of our chapter and Len Weingarth of the NSS talked with students and their parents about the moon and space and the future.

Moon Madness Night 2009 - Friday evening, January 9th, Chris Nobbe, Bob Perry, Mark Rode and Dabne Tolson of the St. Louis chapter of the Moon Society set up the chapter "fan table" in the main hallway of the Center for Creative Learning and talked about the moon and space and the future with students and their parents.

Moon Madness Night 2008 - Friday evening, January 11th, Chris Nobbe, Bob Perry and Rufus Anderson of the St. Louis chapter of the Moon Society set up the chapter "fan table" in the main hallway of the Center for Creative Learning and talked about the moon and space and the future with students and their parents.

ShowMeCon 5 (2007) - Saturday, April 21st, Keith Wetzel, Rufus Anderson, Dave Heck, and Bob Perry manned our "fan table" and conducted the "hard science" block of presentations and panels at this combined science fiction and anime convention.

Bob, Chris and Bert attended the St. Louis Science Center Science Cafe presentation for January 18th 2007 by Gregg Maryniak, "Can the Moon save the Earth?"

Archon 29 - Archon has become a regular fall event for our chapter.  This time Dave Heck made a presentation about bootstraping industry on the moon - going from a 'construction shack' to a facility that significantly reduces the need for importing materials from Earth.
